I'm trying to help my client get her Domain verified for Google Search Console and am stuck in support hell for weeks.
She initially verified her https and http in Google Search console instead of the domain. So we added the new TXT record to verify the domain in her GoDaddy DNS and that's where the trouble began. We keep getting an Error code saying it can't find the new TXT record, and it instead it kept saying it could only find the TXT record she had previously entered. So we deleted that old record and we continue to get the error message, even though it's been weeks since we deleted.
We've send GSC support and showed them all the TXT records and error message and proof we can see the DNS records with the right TXT files. We've send the same to GoDaddy and they are zero help. GSC says it's a GoDaddy problem. GoDaddy says they see no error and referred us to dnschecker.org (which also--does not show the record and continues to show the old DNS record we deleted).
Has anyone run into an issue like this? What else can I do? I need that data!
