I had the same result happen in the last 2 weeks with a listing that was suspended, the user it happened with only had manager permissions. When I logged in with a secondary owner account, the manager account was gone (and had not been manually removed).

Double checked to make sure location services were turned on, wifi turned off, and no VPN software running on the phone.

Do the number of profile views reflect the same decreases?

What range of percentage are you seeing a drop?

You could use a local guide account to suggest an update on the GBP to the correct number (especially if the website in the GBP shows the phone number you want to change it to).

Or a combination of both.

Maybe Google is testing layouts based on language?

Still seems to be randomly happening, I have submitted using the form that @ElizabethRule mentioned but I haven't seen any feedback related to the submissions (if that is even something that happens).

Could you choose another already existing page that isn't ranking high but still has KWs that is indexed and still add your UTM (not a high ranking page as it was mentioned in the article that could negatively affect rankings also)? Or at the very least you could propose a couple of changes to...
