it's a reputable bail bonds business. The industry are banned from paid advertising, but they do have map pack and local listings. Their competitors are active on GMB.
Is there a good resource for suspensions? I have a tough one...
All we've been told is we violated community guidelines. Tried to appeal 3 times (client has tried many times before) and we get the same, canned response.
A company I am representing hired one of those GMB farms to manage their presence, which obviously failed, so they hired me. But now the other company won't relinquish the listing! They are trying to sell it my client! They did set it up...but obviously they are lying to my client because...
I think posting is an underrated feature for SEO, I've seen results right away. And while fresh/new is important, the posts stop showing after a week, so repeating the same content every week is a proven tactic. For my accounts trying to do a lot on GMB, we do 7 weekly posts and rotate, and it...
I've Google very slow to respond to anything since the pandemic, but I'm low on the totem pole. Still, little old me pre-pandemic was able to get quick answers.
embedding the GMB map is a signal and if you're not doing it on the Contact page and someone else is, I generally see it hurting. It's such an easy thing to do...just do it. Obviously in competitive verticals, everyone's doing it. Everything is relative. Now this other map tactic to me is...
Google's official policy came up in the news just the other day, basically saying again that they don't want duplicate content, but that it's not a factor. Stats show it's not a factor. So I guess the advice would be try your best but if your effort is better spent elsewhere don't worry about...
Apologies if this has been covered, but we're right next door to another state. We show up for far away searches in our state, but not next door...
Is this just not something we can solve?
Thanks Phil. The real problem when I took over the client is that my client is doing better than all of the other local competitors in citations and reviews! The #1 competitor has zero photos, zero reviews, no citations, and there are a variety of others ahead of us in our main search.
So...
Made some optimizations but it's been a few weeks. When I compare our efforts to the competitors, we trounce them in every category, but we did some GMB stuff and some onpage stuff for the hometown keywords. I mean, I'd be actually shocked if we didn't improve.
But I'm thinking we should...
I guess these are things I wish I had data to support. My clients are small, so we experiment and make data driven decisions but the data is not really large enough to be significant. I try to research best practices from people who have done the bigger jobs.
I'm 50/50 but need more data...do you provide links in the business category/services area of GMB? If they have a well thought out page for each service?
