The URL didn't change. All they did was get a new site on the old domain. The only thing that changed was that they did get an SSL certificate, and all of the redirects are correct on that.
We have a longtime client who has a keyword-optimized domain name - this isn't the real domain or vertical but think in terms of dog-walkers-wichita.com. They had an old HTML site and we got it ranking well organically - top 5 for all their main keywords in their main city. Then they got a new...
We have clients who have many citations that have URLs starting with HTTP but they have now upgraded to HTTPS. The redirections work correctly and the links go to the correct site with no problems. Does this affect rankings? Do all of the citations need to be changed to HTTPS as well, or is it...
We have two clients who got hacked recently and we're now dealing with the fallout. On one they have more than 6000+ Google search results for spam pages. On the other we can't get AdWords approved because they keep accessing cached content.
I keep being told that there is a way to get GSC to...
I have one client who still doesn't have Services in their GMB dashboard. As far as I've seen the rest have Services just fine. I would love to know if this is a glitch that can and will be fixed.
It's strange because the title tags on those pages are more descriptive than the home page, and more relevant because the pages are about different locations or services. But oh well. I'll see what I can do about rewriting them. Thanks for the help!
No, the business name is in there. In fact I changed the title tag on the home page to put the business name at the beginning instead of the main keyword in case it was just pulling the first word in there to add. It didn't make a difference.
I have noticed this happening on several clients over the past year or so, seemingly only on Wordpress sites - if we have a home page that's got a specific keyword at the beginning or nearly in the title tag - say "Bocce Ball Cleaning Wahoo AZ" - the Google searches for other pages on the site...
Thanks to everyone. We've gone ahead and purchased Whitespark for the big client, but we're also testing the aggregator push with BrightLocal for another client. We've done some correction stuff with BL in the past with individual citations but the slowness of turnaround time has been a bit of a...
One of our biggest clients is moving to a new location, and they have very well established Google Maps rankings in their area. We want to make sure that as many citations are corrected as possible quickly and consistently, so we are researching citation creation services. I've been looking at...
We have a client who is ranking very well in his market and in others. However, over time Google has started pulling snippets from content for his search results instead of using his meta description. His meta description has proven to convert well, while the snippets are very random. It started...
I'm definitely planning to go to some local search events this year. I've thought of going to the Local U one-day thing in Austin, but it seems like it is might be more of a regional thing. It would be great if they did an event in the Southeast - Nashville's getting all the conventions these...
We work with a lot of restoration and repair companies, and I've been seeing multiple sites that have links like these that also seemingly pull in Google search links for companies in those cities. I thought at first that it was some sort of PBN thing, but it's pulling in links from clients who...
Yes, I checked there and no manual actions or security issues in Search Console. I had also checked blacklist sources elsewhere and the domain doesn't appear on any of them.
