I have a client with 2 locations in Denver. One is closed. A branded search renders the closed location. Of course, we'd like to show the open location instead of a notice that the business is temporarily closed. Any ideas on the best way to do this? Do we try to merge the listings? Delete the...
My client has moved and has tried to update his address through GMB a number of times. I even suggested an edit with the new address, yet Google has yet to change the address. My client has been at his new location for almost a year now and this week, he had to potential clients go to the wrong...
Hi All,
I've got a client in the yoga eco-retreat niche in Costa Rica and we've got a blog post that drives more traffic than any other page, including the home page, because it ranks well in search; however, the post is not about yoga or eco.
The topic of the page is How to extend your visa...
I've got a client who is moving his business location. He's got a lot of citations out there so the task is pretty daunting to do manually. What's the best way to update all of them with the new location? Do you recommend giving it to Moz Local or other service?
Thanks,
Dino
PS. I'm doing all...
The market we're in is Bali, but most traffic is from yoga instructors from around the world looking for a nice place to host a 10-day yoga retreat. We have a pretty successful Google My Business page. The problem is the website content.
My objective is to convince the owner that the site needs...
It seems business owners in Bali think they're pretty smart to game the local system. So far Google is letting them get away with it.
A search for Mt Batur Trekking Guides (these are tour companies that take tourists to hike up a local volcano) will render a bunch of outfits. If you check the...
James, I apologize if I've misunderstood your approach, but how can you push an Indian outsourcer to get higher points unless they are giving fake reviews or submitting fake images?
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but is your guy actually experiencing the businesses he rates? It appears not...
Thanks, DJ.
My girlfriend and I compete with each other to get more points in Local Guides. We have fun doing and it gets us out to more places, but neither of us write reviews for places we haven't been to; however, I can easily see that practice getting out of hand.
It may not even be...
@Mirriam, read your post. Very nice work.
As a part owner of an eco-retreat in Bali, my partners and I know exactly who stays with us and who doesn't. We are getting a lot of random ratings, usually 2-4 stars from people we know for certain never stayed with us. Our customer service is so...
Hey guys, thanks for your input. We finally got it working again. We just went through everything, updated content, started posting, uploaded more images, got more reviews, updated structured data and fought endlessly with Google reps. Not sure what got it working again, but I'm fairly confident...
Hi folks, long time since I've posted, but have a question...
One of my service area clients, an HVAC business who serves customers at their location and does not show his address, is gone from literally all searches except his business name.
It looks like he's been filtered for some reason...
I agree that it's a good way to get immediate visibility and that if done properly is one of the best ways to drive traffic for many businesses; however, I would caution about the implication to let it sit and watch the leads come in.
My campaigns never rest. We are always testing keyword...
OK, thanks for the quick feedback, Miriam.
I agree, that makes sense. I know the listing is set up accurately so as long as the hidden address is not preventing the tool from fixing my citations elsewhere, then it's no problem at all for me to keep using it.
