Hey Eric, does this work on mobile? The big struggle has been finding a link that goes directly to the review area on mobile so users don't have to tap on "reviews".
Thanks Garrett I'll check it out. In the meantime, can you send example links (desktop and mobile) for a SAB that has their address marked to hidden? Want to put my theory to the test here.
Thanks!
Hi there,
I recently ran into this when trying to add a review link that takes the user directly to the overlay to leave a review. It seems to work on desktop but not on mobile. When you copy/paste from mobile, it doesn't work on desktop.
In my limited testing, this doesn't seem to work for...
Hi there,
We work with home inspectors and we see a lot of home-based SABs getting the pin on the finder map. Has anyone seen a correlation here with making the address public and showing the pin? We have inspectors that want to test this, but I'm guessing this is also against webmaster...
Great find Joy!
Do you see a lot of SABs doing what this guy does, where they only fill out part of the address and don't hide their address? So many in this industry do it, and I can't help but think its rewarded by them having the pin on the local pack. (visually helping, not algorithmically)
It appears this SAB (competes with one of my clients) shows on the map in the 3-pack and finder, but the address is just the city and zip.
Is the way to do this checking the box so it doesn't hide your address, but only put in the city/zip for your address? That seems like a halfway lie to...
Hello all,
Does anyone have any insight on if and when Moz will be able to pull in Google as a primary source for SABs that hide their address in GMB?
As I'm sure you all know, this is problematic since so many in the SEO community, as well as small businesses, use Moz Local score as a proxy...
Hey James,
Thanks for the thorough reply!
Agreed, it's a few extra clicks but appears to be pretty accurate when I do some checks locally.
Do you mean more specific like using zip instead of the city to get most accurate results? Is there a way to know where the centroid is when I use a...
Hello,
Spoofing to a local location used to be easier from what I remember. What is the most accurate way to see what results are for say, a handyman in Douglasville, Georgia?
I've tried the geolocation emulator in Chrome and it doesn't always seem to work.
Thanks!
Completely agree Chad.
In this case, when you want someone to inspect your home before purchasing, you don't care if they have to drive 50 miles, you just want the highest quality, well-reviewed inspector.
Proximity is showing far lower quality results in my testing.
Hi all,
I'm sorry if this one has been beaten to death elsewhere on the forum (or in general), but I'm curious if anyone has tested or seen movement based on how the service area is designated in the GMB dash. I have clients that list 5-10 cities and counties, and have some hesitation to...
