Can't actually remember if I changed the name or not that time! That's the problem with dealing with GMB, it's all so counter-intuitive, because to a human being it's obvious that all my business names refer to the same person doing the same thing, but of course Google is a machine not a human...
Hi. Hoping for advice here as it's always been way more helpful than Google itself. I have two GMB listings, in different cities. LIsting A is older and has many good reviews. LIsting B is much newer and has no reviews. The name of LIsting A is specific to the city in which it's located, but I...
Thanks Jeff that's all very useful. I do in fact use my own telephone number in my own GMB entry. I should clarify- although the clinic has its own phone number it has no receptionist to answer the phone, it is basically just a building containing several rooms which practitioners can rent by...
My question is: Does the following situation seem reasonable? I am a self-employed health practitioner with own website and many citations on directories, professional registers, and Google Places. Having practiced from various physical locations over a long period, I am about to start seeing...
Is it possible to create a second GMB page for a new business based at same location and landline as my existing business? The new business is focused on a specialised aspect of the general area of work covered by the existing business. Specifically the existing business is hypnotherapy, the new...
My own site had disappeared from GMB listings when I checked on 1st May. Now today 8th May it is back in the three pack and in several common searches it is higher than ever, ahead of my main competitors! Hopefully it will stay there.
After relocating within same city (from suburb to central business district), for most of last year my rankings fell right back on GMB, despite doing everything that Google says you should do, having good reviews, and a well established website. My competitors ranked way higher despite they had...
SOLVED
Actually I found a way around it without messing with Cloud, deleted the plugin and tried a different one which works fine! For this plugin I just got the places ID from Place IDs | Places API | Google Developers so dunno what was going on with the other plugin.
I had a plugin which displayed reviews from my GMB page in a box on my homepage. This week it suddenly stopped working, just showed an error message about too many referalls (I forget the exact word, but it was like it had exceeded some daily limit, which seemed unlikely as I'm a one man therapy...
Thanks. Searching in incognito mode from the street where my business is located caused my own Adwords ad to appear, (which it doesn't when I search non-incognito) but still no sign of my GMB page. The other practitioners in my street all appear.
So now I've checked it from ten locations all over the city, and from five nearby towns. Organic rank is about the same in all city locations, 3s and 4s, but in nearby towns I don't appear at all, in fact it's mostly generic articles not individual practitioners. Except for "hypnotherapy +...
