Hey everyone, i am new here, and hope to find some help.

I’d like to ask about having two Google Business Profiles in the same city for the same company.

The business is in HVAC and plumbing. Both profiles have the same business name and the same website, but different addresses and different phone numbers.

If both locations are real and staffed, is this allowed by Google? Will both profiles be able to rank, or can they create issues for each other?

Also, since Google seems to try to prevent one company from monopolizing local results, could this setup be seen as taking too much visibility in one city, even when both listings are legitimate?

It is allowed. The main factor to consider is the distance between the two locations. If the city is large and has a significant population, then having multiple GBPs can be beneficial.

For smaller cities or towns, it is usually not worth having multiple GBPs, as the demand and coverage area may not support them effectively.

Thank you, guys. I understand that it's allowed and there are no issues with 2 profiles in the same city, but the main question is how Google will rank both of them. Would they affect each other's rankings? I have one profile with 600 reviews and another one with 6k reviews, but after November, they both dropped for most KWs, i checked everything i could, and didn't find any other issues
