We got one location right now, it's in a Suburban town.

We are going to add another location in capital city (as a larger city -more traffic location) and Google verify it.

My question is :

Should we add it to our existing GMB or create a new one ranking wise, what is better?

We did a bunch of high quality citations for a current suburban location. We also just hit 1-st page of Google for they capital city keyword.

So wondering: should we add a capital location separately or to existing listing?

What's better from your experience?

Hi @galapagos

Can you clarify what you mean? Are you referring to adding service areas inside your GMB dashboard?

Yeah, lets say: we got 1 verified location, example: Plumber Sherman Oaks, CA. but we are currently ranking on 1-st page position 9 for Plumber Los Angeles keyword. Would it be better to add and verify a location in Los Angeles to existing GMB or open a new GMB in Los Angeles only, this question is for ranking. Because we wanna rank in 3pack in Los Angeles. And we're already done a bunch of citations for Sherman Oaks location.

It will be extremely difficult to get in the 3 pack without having a physical location in LA. Just because you add LA as a service area doesn't mean you'll rank locally there. Adding that to the dash will only increase the size of your service area on the map.
