So client had an old GMB, it was done before he arrived at company.
Several weeks ago, it seemed to disappear. Odd, I know....
No One knew anything, etc. etc. Except it is nowhere to be found or seen.

I had created a GBP with same name, so I could communicate with google... long story short:
The original GMB was created via a 3rd party API system and that system deleted it. I saw that can and does happen.
The last email communication via the "this temp" GBP (that obviously I didn't try to verify, etc. etc) was that
once client created the new one, the old one would be merged to save the reviews, etc. I had the ID of the old one.

So client proceeded to just start over and go through the process of creating the new GBP.
long story short, after a few failed attempts at video verification because of X or Y or Z :(
the link to do another video verification has been disabled.

Anyway, client submitted the form with all the docs and details and its been a few weeks and no reply.
I know there was a back log of "stuff" at google GBP, etc. etc.

my question:
1) would you just wait? if so, how long?
2) if you say, no waiting, just submit another form OR is there a negative if you submit another form?

3) by chance, is my temp GBP an issue? That email is the only communication with google GBP reps that was positive. I'm doing what they said,
but wasn't sure if there was a period of time you just start over?

4) or is there another way to proceed?

Hey @larryk - If the "old" profile was removed, I wouldn't hold out hope that you'll get it back. High probability that it's gone. However, the reviews are stored separately so you should be able to recover them.

If you haven't heard from support in a few weeks, I would open a new ticket.

Once the new profile is verified, contact support again to recover the old reviews.

grin, so there is no negative from submitting the same problem multiple times?

note: I agree the old profile is gone. The client is having a hard time just getting a reply on the new try, at setting up a new GBP.

my main reason for posting, was to ask if any "existing" part of the situation was related to the issues of getting a new GBP.
