Hi everyone,

I’d appreciate feedback on a complex GBP hard suspension involving LSA overlap, duplicate listing, and legal-name mismatch. Full timeline summarized below.

What Happened
  • The owner modified the GBP business name in July 2025 to match an LSA name, triggering re-verification.
  • Verification stalled, then the verification button disappeared entirely.
  • Sent direct ticket to Google with business docs for proof to escalate verification issue
  • Re-verification successful, but then:
  • A second GBP (unverified) appeared later in the owner’s GBP dashboard, likely LSA-generated.
  • Then the primary profile was hard suspended in Nov 2025.
  • Appeal submitted Jan 2026 with EIN + insurance docs.
  • Appeal denied, referencing a Nov 4, 2025 rejection, and Google now shows no further appeal option.
Google’s (Possible) Issues
  • Entity name mismatch: Legal name (No DBA) vs GBP name
  • Duplicate, unverified GBP still present
Proposed Recovery Path
  1. Remove the unverified duplicate profile entirely
  2. File a DBA for the business to match GBP name
  3. Then submit an “additional review of denied appeal” request
Looking for Insight On
  • Whether duplicate cleanup should be done before DBA filing
  • Current success rates with DBA alignment in reinstatements
  • Whether appeals tied to older rejection dates can still be reconsidered
  • Best practices when LSA appears to be the duplicate source
Thanks in advance—happy to clarify details.
