Hi,

Briefly, a law firm client was hit with a hard suspension. Two of their three GBPs are gone from Search, Maps, and the dashboard. The remaining profile is not their main office, so there is increasing concern/freakout.

1. Is there any mechanism where Google will reveal the specific violations that triggered the suspension? Or, does this get down to a point-by-point review of the guidelines, and taking a shot at the correct solution?

2. Does Google still have any contact options other than the Reinstatement Request?

For now, you have to go through the guidelines point by point, in a few months they may start to give more details on the type of suspension as they are changing the process.

You have to start with the Reinstatement Request.

We have had all 8 businesses suspended and every time we go through the reinstatement request it is rejected.

Not sure what to do next...

I read on another forum or somewhere it would be good to have a separate email address for each business listing so we are busy transferring ownership however you have to wait 7 days before you can change primary ownership of the account and I don't even know if that will help it actually get reinstated!

Hi Steve, I ended up writing a post about this issue:

Why Your Google Business Profile is Suspended and How to Fix it - Divorce Marketing Lab

In my client's case, it turned out to be an account problem; someone who had access to the GBP decided to delete their email address, which caused the GBP to disappear and then get suspended. It took a couple of weeks to restore it.

One of the emails from Google said: Your profile has activity from a previous manager/owner’s account that was suspended for violating guidelines. Please remove all of the managers or co-owners. Then, reply to this email. We’ll review your profile. If it complies with our policies, we’ll lift the suspension.

Since then I removed all the other email addresses associated with the account but I don't know if I should do a completely new submission instead of replying to the email thread.
