Appearing For Branded Searches After Name Change

Thank you for reading this thread. If another thread already exists on this topic, please feel free to point me in that direction!

Question: Are there any good case studies or articles that discuss moving from one brand to another in GMB and the potential issues that could arise - not appearing for old brand searches, how to help clients understand the new name, ways to combat the confusion?

A big concern I've noticed is clients worrying that their GMB will no longer show up for "old brand" searches once they've moved over to "new brand" in GMB.
