Hi,

Our Google My Business listing for Lulu's Waikiki, which has been active since 2004, was recently marked as a duplicate, and unfortunately, none of our team members have access to it anymore.

We’ve been diligently trying to regain access by submitting the required documentation, but so far, we haven’t had any success. This listing is particularly important to us, as we’ve invested heavily in optimizing it, and it currently has over 4,000 reviews.

Do you have any advice or suggestions on how we can regain access to the account? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

@Jbeach - Once a profile has been marked as a duplicate, it has effectively been merged with the other profile that Google thinks it is duplicating (which I'll call the "live profile").

When you bring up the duplicate on desktop, the left side should show you a message about being marked a duplicate and the right side (the Knowledge Panel) should show the "live profile". Is that what you're seeing?

If so, is the "live profile" for Lulu's Waikiki?

If yes, you'll have to request ownership.

If not, Google has accidentally merged Lulu's Waikiki with another business. The only solution is to create a new profile for Lulu's Waikiki and then have Google transfer the reviews that belong to Lulu's from the "live profile" to the new profile.

You can try contacting support to make this happen but they probably won't understand what you're trying to accomplish. I suspect you'll likely have to go to the community support forum to get a resolution.
