Hello,

I work with an internet marketing agency, and we’ve noticed a recurring issue affecting several of our clients’ listings. Although these businesses appear as published within the Bing Places dashboard, the live versions on Bing search and Bing Maps are not displaying the correct information.

All of these listings were created using the GBP “Sync” option several months ago and have been syncing weekly with accurate data from Google. Despite this, the updates are not reflected publicly.

We’ve been in ongoing communication with Bing Places Support, but so far we haven’t received a clear explanation for the delays. We’re also repeatedly receiving the same generic responses such as “We’ll provide you an update by X date,” without any meaningful progress. This has become extremely frustrating for our clients.

Current inconsistencies we’re seeing:

  • Incorrect business category showing live, despite the correct category being set in both Google and the Bing Places backend.
  • UTMs specific to Bing Places not appearing live, even though they’ve been properly added on the backend.
  • Business descriptions not showing on the live listing, although the backend displays them correctly.
  • Images not displaying on the live listing.
We would appreciate any clarity on what is causing these issues and why updates through Bing Places are taking so long to process. Any insight into the root cause or next steps would be extremely helpful.
