Bottom of the page Google Ads moved to the middle?!?

Just saw this for the first time and can't repeat it, so may be an experiment. I saw, from the top of page downards: LSA, 2 Ads, AIO, local pack, 2 organic listings, 2 ads, 7 organic listings.

Wow, ranking 3-9 organic now puts you at the very bottom of a pretty long page!

Ha, guess I missed that. I'm pretty sure I've never seen it before, but maybe I'm just getting old :-(
