Hi, A company called "The Bournemouth Locksmith" In Dorset England says on it's GMB profile that it is a shop. It is a service area Business registerrd to a restaurant in a shopping mall. They do not see customers at the address. I have tried many times to Edit in maps wihout success and repoted to business addresall twice with no success. If you look on Google earth the address is a restaurant. 14 Royal Arcade, Boscombe, Bournemouth BH1 4BT. Can anyone tell me why Google allows this?
Thank you.

Locksmith is one of the categories where Google automatically rejects edits. What evidence did you submit when you redressed it? If it has been over 30 days, you can post on the help forum.

Maybe they are the spouse of the restaurant owner. Have you tried calling the number? A google search for the business suggests they do actually exist.

Based on my experience battling spam and the locksmith industry, these spammers create fake listings at addresses where they are not located. In order to create a GBP, you need a separate office with signage. I doubt that this locksmith did or has this.

That may be the case but there is a GBP, there is a website and the telephone number does connect to the business owner. The fact the address is a restaurant is weird but Google seems to be happy.

Hi, yes they say they are mobile locksmiths and do not see people at the address n there GMB listing breaking Google listing rules. So I think they exist but should not show address.

What is your actual issue with this business? Is it just the address or this there something else you feel is wrong?

I remember this GBP. The business has four GBPs violating the TOS.
The Bournemouth Locksmith - fake address
Locksmith Christchurch - showing a residential address
Lymington Locksmiths 24/7 Mobile Emergency Locksmith - keyword stuffing and showing a fake address
Ringwood Locksmiths | Emergency Call Outs, Burglary Repairs, Lock Repairs Lock Replacements - keyword stuffing and showing a fake address

The GBPs have different websites and have the same content. This business is actively abusing the TOS.

HI, the problem is customers go there and it is a restaurant not a locksmith shop. So they have made a specific journey and then told we can't cut you a key but we can give you a Pizza. So I thought that is the purpose of a SAB business against a physical location.

Have people actually done this? The GBP profile says they are an emergency locksmith - not somewhere you go to get a new key cut. same with the website.

I'm not trying to defend then - I think they are breaking the rules - but what battle are you trying to win here? Are you a locksmith?

It does say on the profile 'Own this business?' which normally means the listing is either unclaimed or not verified:

Unless the GBP belongs to a brand, you will always see own this business next suggest an edit. When you click and expand the KP, the own this business link is removed when the profile is claimed. The profile is claimed. It’s easy to verify with this by seeing owner uploaded photos, replies to reviews, and Google posts.

It’s doesn’t matter if they are an emergency locksmith. If you show your address on Google, you need to have an office with signage where people can visit you in person.

We are not talking about one GBP, we are taking about four.
