Hello,

I had a client recently that opened a shop, had trouble ranking and we eventually discovered that there was an old listing from the former owners of that location. We have since called Google and requested to have the old listing removed. Now we are able to see the currently listing correctly placed on Google. So my question is are there definitive ways to know for sure that a listing is actually claimed and not just scrapped?

Thank you,

If a business is verified, there will be a little shield with a check mark in it that says "Verified Local Business" when you run your cursor over it. The shield is to the right of the circle shaped image on the left side of the page.
