Hi all,

My client changed the DBA for a branch of their business. and now needs to update the Google listings, as well. I know, technically, they are supposed to create a whole new listing and mark the other one as closed; however, they are adamant about not doing that as many of the locations have hundreds of reviews under their current profile.

I also let them know that we will need to reverify the listing if we change the name, which they aren't happy about either. (We already have a massive amount of listings that need reverification due to an issue their former listing management service created, all of which require live video verification. 🙃)

I know this is a long shot, but I was wondering if any of you had any tips on how to get the name changed on a listing without it forcing you to reverify. (Bonus points if anyone knows of a way to re-verify in bulk.)

Solution
Hi Sabrina, no guarantees that you won't trigger a reverification, but to decrease your chances make sure you update the website, and especially the page on the website you're linking the GBP to with the new name.

oops just saw this. Yes, we always make sure the website matches the information we are trying to update. Thank you!
