I have a client who is adamant about having their legacy brand and their business (business name- city) have two separate GBPs. The problem is that both businesses have the same business category and the same address. We have been trying to set up the business name- city profiles as SAB but some employees do not want to use their home address. My question is, can we do a DBA so both can have their own GBP at the same address or would that still be going against Google's guidelines?

Sounds like this is really one business offering different services? Can you clarify what you mean by legacy brand?

Having multiple listings at the same address and same category presents its own set of challenges such as filtering.
