Different Symbols on Google Maps

Could someone explain the different symbols you sometimes see on Google Maps? Some seem to have a "smiley face," others with what appears to be a key over a car symbol? Is there a list of the various symbols and their significance?

That's the 1st time I've seen the car + key icon. Not sure what that one means, but the other one is for businesses with favorable reviews.

Hi Michael,

Google uses little icons instead of the pin for certain business categories. The little handbag usually shows in association with retail locations, a little oxford cap shows for universities, and the little car and key usually shows for car rental locations. There's a number of others as well, but you can usually figure out what they're for between the symbol itself, and the business they're shown for.
