Does Yelp Read Metadata from Photos?

Hi everyone,

I'm curious about the best practices for uploading photos to Yelp business profiles. Specifically:

1. Does Yelp read or use the metadata embedded in photos when they are uploaded?
2. Is it worth the effort to geotag photos before uploading them to enhance their performance or visibility?

I've heard mixed opinions about whether geotagging helps with platforms like Google, but I'm not sure how Yelp handles it.

Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I never spend time geotagging so I asked around and Brian Kato confirmed Yelp strips the exif data.
