GBM embedded Map on Website Branch Pages - Does this still help with rankings ?

Hi All,
I have put our GMB listings Embedded maps on our location branch pages for our stores. Does anyone know if this still helps with rankings of not ?
I am thinking of removing it or changing it to a static map as the iframe seems to be slowing the page speed down even though i use a cdn.

Also does anyone know of a better way to have to map without using the iframe ?

Why is the iframe an issue for you?

I think it just slows the site down a bit. It's on php version 5.6.

Yes it does but if everything else is optimized it won't be a huge impact and generally it is only on one page. For that reason, I advise against putting embedded maps in the footer or on the front page.
