Hey,

I've been trying to get the Place ID for my SAB using Place ID Finder, but nothing comes up.
Is that because there are not IDs for SABs, or is there a way to retrieve them?

Thanks,
Lior

Unfortunately, this method does not seem to work for a Service Area Business (SAB) or a business which is not yet on Google Maps.

For that, there’s a bit of a convoluted work-around outlined here:

I use the GatherUp Review URL Generator, which is a Chrome plugin.

The primary purpose of the plugin, which is to produce a review URL, is moot since the introduction of GMB short names. However, the plugin reveals the Maps CID (which I use all the time) and the Place ID, even for SABs.

The GatherUp extension also fails to get the right info if you're on Maps and you've clicked on a few different profiles. When it works, it's great but...

Pleper has a good Chrome extension.

Thank you! This extension did work better! I have used this before but forgot about it.

Hey folks, I'm having the same issue. Business is verified and a service based business. I used PlePer to find the place ID. Doesn't work. I've used 3 different review plugins on Wordpress with no luck - smashballoon required the place ID - I even made a Google Map API key.
- is it because it's a service based business?
- is it because it was verified in an apartment complex with units/suites?

I'm at a loss... would rather not have to manually add all these into the website.

Anyone have some thoughts?

Do you want to dm me the link to the GBP? I'll see if I can help you.
