Hi There,

I have a new client who is a museum and they don't currently have any profile on the Better Business Bureau. Is it worth setting up and if so, how in-depth is the process?

Thanks in Advance

It's worth setting up if the clientele relies on BBB reviews. It has no inherent SEO value. I wrote a brief article back in 2015 when BBB removed the "dofollow" link from their directories to the the websites.

At the same time, we have various clients who require the BBB listing/logo, especially in the home improvement/roofing industries. Depending on the generation being targeted, they will put weight behind the BBB rating.

You can get a free BBB listing, answer a few questions, and off you go. But to get the logo and rating to show on your site (dynamic logo/seal), you have to pay the "X" dollars and answer a few more questions. Usually, they'll just do a phone interview, and you're done. There's nothing crazy complicated on it (based on the last client who got one in 2023)
