GMBs with no location

So my department runs 4+ service area companies and my boss has me running GMBs around the area. The issue I am running into is ranking. When we verified our GMBs in different states, we used addresses in our hometown. Several months later, I am running into issues where I see them showing up in our hometown. If we were to rent a PO box in the cities we want to rank, would it override our verification address and allow us to rank better?

You can't use PO Box for GMB listings. You are only allowed to have a GMB listing where you are physically located and registered. When it comes to a SAB, you are only allowed one per state that you are registered in or at the address that you are registered in the state if it's a franchise model.
