We recently started writing blogs post for our webiste to support the service pages and service area pages. have done interlinking etc for those sections.

But after that, a lot of traffic has gone to specifically to those blog post. I noticed that Google has local search terms like service+city or near me searches shown with Metal Title Replaced with blog post title and is sending this directly to those pages which are not relevant.

Anybody else experiencing this. My site is new less than a year old.

Anybody knows when this will stop or any idea on how to change this behavior.

Also, the blog posts had published date and other pages did not. We have not added last updated data on all pages.

Yes, because that's how things work - Google is displaying the best answers to the search query. However, does it really matter? If the traffic is landing on the blog post and you have all the necessary calls to action in place you will be getting lots of leads.

You have a number of posts asking questions about your site that would be far better answered if you posted the URL.

In this case, we really need to see those blog posts to be able to help

Here is the link for the blog post:
https://ninjafencestaining.com/how-to-remove-watermarks-from-fences-caused-by-sprinklers/

There is a lot of activity from all across activity on this page compared to other pages both local and usa based. Before posting this article, we used to get lot less cliks but mostly for "fence staining near me" or "fence staining houston" and was for Home page itself. Any advise on how to strcuture the home page, My SEO guy is opposed to add CALL to Action or form saying this will convert it into a landing page.

Your SEO guy is wrong. Every page is a landing page.

If people are landing on this blog posts it's because they want your services. Does it matter how they get on the site? All you want is the lead. In any case, within seconds of landing on the page you have a pop up offering a discount if I fill in the form for a quote.

For advice on structuring the homepage - ask your SEO guy. Right now Google doesn't know if you are targeting Houston or Cypress.

And you have so much random content on the homepage you are diluting the keywords.
