I have noticed one thing which I want to verify if any of you have experienced it.

Google has done a core update this month and then a product review update starting from 8th of November. Google tells more about this update and how their reviews system works here Google Search's Reviews System | Google Search Central | Documentation | Google for Developers

The reviews system is designed to evaluate articles, blog posts, pages or similar first-party standalone content written with the purpose of providing a recommendation, giving an opinion, or providing analysis. It does not evaluate third-party reviews, such as those posted by users in the reviews section of a product or services page.

As It clearly tells that their product review update doesn't impact on third-party reviews such as posted on GBP's by users. However we have experienced a lot of GBP's lost a good amount of reviews starting from 8th of November.

Questions:-

1. Does product review impacts only on content like articles, blogs etc and not on user generated reviews?
2. Anyone of you experienced removal of reviews on the GBP's you manage post this update?

You nailed it. The product review update is not directly related to Google business profile reviews.

Google is definitely removing lots of reviews from business profiles lately. You can reach out to support and they should be able to check and see if they can reinstate any of the missing reviews.

Is there any quick way to contact support? We manage a lot of GBP's so we have to contact Google for each case.
