Thanks for posting! I think it's a better method, but hopefully the business response will carry more weight than a review. If someone asks, "do they have tomato soup?" and I post a QA saying that "we have tomato soup after 2 pm every day" and someone's review says "I went and there is no tomato soup" - hopefully my QA (owner's reply) would be more prominent and used for the response.

We'll see.

This seems to be an AI driven thing. I ask a direct question and Google will answer using all the data currently available. Which means your content may need to expand to cover a wider range of topics.

Here's what I think is happening with Q&A:

- Q&A on the front end will be replaced with their AI-driven "Ask Maps"
- Q&A management will still exist in the backend (NMX)
- When the AI has an answer, it gives it
- When the AI doesn't have the answer, and enough people ask the same or similar question, you will be prompted to answer in the Q&A section of the NMX
- Google's AI will then have that answer to provide to people in the future

We already have this great example from @ElizabethRule, so it doesn't bode well.

YES! this was such an obvious example of Google getting is so wrong. Like why contradict the businesses own website? What data do they have and why do they think its better? I would LOVE to know more about where Google gets its "data"....

I will re-post the image here
