It's not a method, there is just a different string of code to use prefetch in Firefox.

Looking at the two versions, it's like one minor difference.

Just a general note here. While page speed is a minor ranking factor, it is more important than many people think. Desktop load speed is likely to be significantly longer on mobile. If the overwhelming majority of your traffic is from mobile, it may be a bigger issue than a simple page speed test would suggest.
