So, you’ve taken the plunge and hired an SEO copywriter to rewrite your key pages—Home, About, Products/Services, and so on. How do you evaluate the quality of the finished product and determine an ROI, if possible?

That's a great question. I would be looking at a few metrics:

- Ranking and/or traffic improvements
- Time on page (and hopefully a lowered bounce rate)
- Which page(s) a visitor went to after your key page (such as a call-to-action link on that page)

I'm not very savvy with the new Google Analytics platform to provide specifics, but you should be able to see Key Events triggered from visits to the page. You could even use Google Tag Manager to track specific activities on the page (downloads, button clicks, video views, etc) to get more granular data on page performance.

Keep in mind it will take time for the new content to be indexed and enough data to be collected in order to determine performance (maybe 60-90 days?)
