How to switch my GBP secondary and primary phone numbers (when Google wont let me)?

I have admin access on a client's GBP and their secondary number is their call rail number (which routes to the primary number).

Any attempts to switch/replace/move the secondary number into the primary is rejected when asked to be changed.

Appealing results in - there is nothin to appeal message - leading me to ask for Contact Us support. Half way thru that they want billing and business info in detail.

Anyone know how to fix this?

This is common with new GBPs. Is yours new? Google might not fully trust it yet.

You have two options:

1. Contact Google Support, but they will most likely ask you to reverify the profile.
2. Suggest an edit using another account, ideally one belonging to a Local Guide, as their suggestions are more likely to be approved without issues.
