How to tracking phone calls on Google My Business?

I am planning to use a 3rd party calling phone number on Google my business and enter the NAP phone number as an additional number in Google My Business (Google Business Profile).

Will this affect the Google maps or SEO ranking?

I read somewhere that it will not affect ranking as the NAP has the additional phone number. Is this true?

Can any one suggest ideas as to how I can track which calls from Google Business Profile which converted and which did not.

Tracking numbers are perfectly fine and the way you described how you will set it up is how I would do it as well.
