Instantly Verify GMB Without Postcard and Physical Location?

Gurus - I stumbled upon the below article online. Sounds like it's pretty easy to get instant verification? Just goto support and give them an email or phone!? Has anyone had any experience or comments on this? Thanks!

@qiqi.hu.72, in theory the Search Console method is still possible (it's been an option since 2014), but it pretty much never shows up as an option.

Only in an edge case would GMB support help you to verify a page without a postcard. In practice, they'll always tell you either to remove an old page (and mark it as "permanently closed") and create a new one, or they'll try to help you regain access to the Google account a GMB page was created in.

The non-postcard options just usually are not options.
