I had a site for a local business that ranked well over 10 years ago, it's a service business so something like "keycuttingmanchester.com".
Since then someone else registered it, now it's unregistered.Im.guessing because it wasn't getting any traffic

Is there any benefit to registering it again?
I think google classes this as over optimised now?

Solution
From a keyword perspective, there seems to be value. If your business focuses on key cutting in Manchester, it would be hard to find a better domain.

As far as Google classing this domain as "over optimised", not sure how one would find this out or if that is even a thing. If the domain had a manual action on it at one point, this could still be an issue. Though, you would need to verify the domain in GSC to check.

Thanks so much for your reply Elizabeth. On the Google console it says no manual actions and no security issues, I have around 250 pages indexed and a similar amount not indexed.
Also on the local maps it says your business profile has been suspended because it doesn't meet our guidelines.
When I click to verify and manage appeals it says no info found and I cannot go any further.

Any idea what I should do with that please?

Thanks

Are you sure you are signed into the right email when accessing the tool? Make sure you are signed into an email account that has access to the suspended listing and then try the tool again. If it is the right email and you are still seeing "no info found" contact support
