Sounds like fighting against Google's algorithm which I can't see being a good thing for fear of it changing. What do you guys think?

daniel and linda - on daniel's posted article, the author did a workaround (to get the organic listing back to page 1) and said:

"We decided to experiment with having the client?s Google+ Local profile link to an inner page of their website, as opposed to their homepage. Within two days, this was the result:"

can u help me here? what did he mean? did they have the G+ link on their homepage to begin with? and moved it to an inner page?

if so, is posting the G+ link on homepage a routine thing for some? thx

If you are running any sort of a content management system, it's generally easiest to add a Google+ (possibly with rel=publisher markup) into the site template which causes it to show up on every single page of the site including the front page.

Whether having that link in the sitewide template is a good thing, appears to now be an open question.
