We are a legitimate locksmith business based in Florida and initially had our location successfully pinned on Google Maps. However, our Business Profile was unexpectedly suspended. Despite submitting an appeal, it was denied.

Following this, we attempted to create a new account from scratch. We utilized video verification with our storefront and provided comprehensive documentation, including:

• Photos of the storefront

• Sunbiz link and supporting PDF

• A recent utility bill matching the business address

• A letter from the IRS with our EIN

• Florida’s resale tax certificate

Unfortunately, this approach also failed. During the appeal process, the suspension reasons cited were:

Business Profile suspended

Posting restriction

When we submitted the manual reinstatement form, we received the following response:

“It looks like your Business Profile is not eligible to display on Google per our quality guidelines. Review our guidelines for representing your business on Google.”

We are at a loss for how to proceed to verify our legitimate business and have it displayed on Google. Are there any additional steps or suggestions you can provide to resolve this issue? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Been dealing with same thing. I have literally zero clue what is wrong with profile(both appeals rejected). Tried Google support forum and while I provided the info to expert Google again rejected it. Nobody can tell you whats wrong. Its vague and ridiculous. Volunteer told me to check the service areas. Make sure they dont overlap with another location. They dont. They dont go over the 2 hour driving distance. We have all of the documents needed so its super frustrating.

I suspect there is another ban on locksmiths getting reinstated.

What does that even mean? Google is just arbitrarily banning locksmith listings? I have a locksmith client who's been suspended for "deceptive content", when there was nothing deceptive at all. He's tried to appeal 3 times without success. I have been working on his other local listings and his website before trying the appeal again, in hopes that those things will provide more credibility. Are you saying nothing I do is going to make a difference?

If I am correct, you must wait for Google to allow locksmiths to get reinstated.

To second @keyserholiday:
- Google makes it easy for locksmith profiles to get suspended and hard to get reinstated
- Google stopped reinstating locksmith profiles from March - June of 2024

@vermin22 :
- I've seen a few cases of "Posting restriction". I've been talking to some Product Experts about this. It's a bit of a mystery. (At least to me and those I've spoken to.)
- It sounds like you've got all the required documentation. Create a thread in the community forum using the link from @keyserholiday. Include a link to a Google Drive folder with screenshots of your profile and your documentation. (DM me the URL of your post and I'll take a look at it in the forum.)

@Stefan Somborac This is all new information to me! If Google stopped reinstating locksmith profiles what's my next step? I have all the required documentation as well. Do I try and submit the appeal again, and then post to the community if I get denied again? Is it safe to post a link to a Google Drive folder that has private details in it like my clients EIN? Am I likely to get actual help getting reinstated there?

My client has gone through this 3 times without success, I thought I could help him, but I didn't know Google had different standards for locksmiths. I don't want to fail, he's at his wits end and ready to change careers.

Thank you so much for your help.
