Lead Resellers Creating Fake GBPs and Flooding Map Pack!

The two top Map Pack companies when you search for "AC Repair Hillsboro, Oregon" are not even HVAC companies. They are lead resellers (like eLocal, 33mileradius, etc.)! We've already flagged them via the Google redressal form, but this can't be legal can it? Their website footer even says they are a lead referral company, and not an actual HVAC company. They both have 4-8 reviews, their websites both clearly say they are not a HVAC contractor, and they even have the same sequential phone numbers starting with (972) 397-XXXX which is insane and lazy to me, but they clearly are getting away with it. What the heck Google!!! Can anyone on this forum maybe escalate this to Google if you've got a contact there?

You need to start off by reporting them via the redressal form. After 30 days, you can post in the help forum.

Are any of these (besides the two you provided) in the same network? If they are you should expand your reporting.

Definitely nail these guys, they multiply like roaches. Interestingly, Elite Hillsboro, when I clicked their website it took me to yourhelper.org, but to my own city, which is nowhere near Oregon.

Hey, at least they're doing us a favor by telling us they're lead gen right on the website! Hopefully it's also obvious to Google.

Thank you Jason - I did fill out the redressal form about 10 days ago, I wish there was something that could be done about them sooner than 30 days just because they are so blatant about what they're doing. Thanks again I appreciate the reply!

Hey Tony thanks for the reply - exactly right, you'd think that Google would catch and nail these guys pretty easily and quickly with how blatant these lead resellers are being. Crazy that Google even approves these GBPs in the first place, I hope this lead reselling GBP racket gets dismantled at the roots.

Hey thanks for the reply - and YES they all are fake GBPs, what the heck! The two I reported are the biggest concerns since they're literally #1 and #2 in the Map Pack for "AC Repair Hillsboro" but yeah you're right those other listings are also lead resellers - just look at how lazy they are w the phone numbers, many have that same (971) 397-XXXX structure. This is BONKERS. @JoyHawkins tagging you here too just for visibility - are you seeing this massive fraud in other markets?
