There was just a Local Link Building session on #seochat over at Twitter.

I don't deal with link building and think it can be especially dangerous for Local SEO. But if you think of it more like earning links due to great content, or finding ways to network locally that end up earning a link... there are white hat ways to get more links.

I don't have time to even read through all this, but knowing some of the pros involved, I know there are probably some good nuggets.
