Great analysis. Didnt know there was so many types of AI Overviews for local. Ya, search behavior is evolving fast.

Have you tried agentic mode on ChatGPT? I find myself using agentic mode in ChatGPT a lot for deep local search. Like for example, planning to get together for Thankgiving (Canadian) next week, and have been using Agentic Mode to go though restaurant and menus to find restaurants with Turkey dinner and veg food from next week. It did a decent job going through menus and finding options and suggesting them. Google AI Mode and normal LLM was not that good at these deep searches.

Similarly was able to use it to find 'physiotherapist' after checking individual calendar availability.

It is sometimes a hit or miss, but it is better than Manus.
