Hi everyone,

Today I discovered that my Google Local Services Ads account has been suspended for “Circumventing Systems” (Account Rules – Circumvention and system interference). I am very confused because this account has been active for more than two years, everything was fully verified, and we have never had any policy issues before.

A few days ago, Google asked us to add an additional credit card to the account. I am wondering if this request could have triggered a review of the account. We also recently removed our website from the LSA profile after reading that it might sometimes help in certain suspension situations.

For additional context, more than two years ago we had a different Google Ads and LSA account. During a re-verification process, the system misread our insurance certificate and flagged it as identity misrepresentation. The account was suspended. I submitted multiple appeals over several months but never received any response. Eventually, a member of the LSA team advised us to create a new account, which we did. We created a new Google Ads account and a new LSA account. The payment methods on the new account are different from the old one.

Now I am trying to understand whether this new suspension could be related to the old account from more than two years ago. I would also like to know whether the old Google Ads and LSA accounts should have been permanently deleted. Additionally, I am wondering if adding an extra credit card could have triggered a system review.

Finally, based on my previous experience, appeals were never answered. I would really like to know if there is a reliable way to contact LSA support, speak with a real person, or escalate a suspension case to ensure it is properly reviewed.

If anyone has experienced a similar situation or has insight into how Google evaluates “Circumventing Systems” violations, I would greatly appreciate your advice.

Thank you very much.

If the two accounts are linked to the same GBP and the old account was never fully deny-listed that is likely the cause of the suspension especially since Google’s “Circumventing Systems” policy specifically mentions multiple account abuse.

As for next steps, you can try calling the LSA number listed on this page. Another option is to work with an agency that has access to a dedicated LSA rep who can help escalate the case on your behalf.

Hi,

Thank you very much for your reply and for the explanation.

I have a question: would it be possible to pause, disable, or permanently delete the old account, so there is no longer any connection that could be interpreted as circumvention (especially if both accounts are linked to the same Google Business Profile)?

Also, I’m a bit confused because the account worked normally for more than 2 years, and I don’t understand why this is becoming an issue only now.

Additionally, could deleting the other/old account potentially resolve the suspension issue, or is the link already permanently flagged in Google’s system?

Finally, regarding support: I’m based in France, and the phone numbers listed seem mainly US/UK-oriented. On top of that, the French team doesn’t seem willing or able to help with this type of case. Is there a direct email address I can contact, or another reliable escalation channel?
I already submitted a request through the form, but I’m not sure I will receive a response.

Thanks again for your help.
