Map Ranking Drop

I have a client with 4 locations and 3 of the four seemed to overnight took a slid down in maps. One was in maps and went to #4. Any quick thoughts on what would cause an over night drop? He did make an error a week ago and put he closes at noon vs. midnight. Would that show up a week later and cause the drop? He also lost about 6 high DA backlinks.

I'd put my money on the loss of backlinks being the reason. One of my client's sites scored a juicy 77 DA backlink recently (industry relevant etc etc). A week later, the site was atop the 3-pack.

The recent Google BERT update may also have something to do with it.
