Missing Country Code Issue on Google Business Profile for foreign Clients only

Hello,
Something strange is happening to one of my clients.
It's a hotel in Corsica, France.
The other day, some Italian clients, using an Italian phone with an Italian carrier, couldn't call the hotel by clicking on the phone icon in their Google Business Profile.
The reason for this is that the number appeared without the France country code, +33.
However, when I, based in Spain, click on the same icon, the number does appear correctly with the +33.
I was wondering if anyone has encountered this issue before and knows how to solve it.

I've never run into that. Sounds like a good case to bring up at the Google Business Profile Help Community.

They never got back to me. Someone mentioned NAP consistency issue which doesn't make much sense on a GPB listing link.
