Hi,

With various issues coming up with GBP verification and management processes, I am becoming slightly paranoid. I worry about every detail.

So, when verifying solo practicioner via video, let's say with GBP name "Bright Care Dental Office: Dr Sam Orton", must outside signage be written 100% exactly as GBP name to be verified? In this case, must signage read:

Bright Care
Dental Office
Dr Sam Orton

... and not in any other way?

For example, could it read:

Dental Office
Bright Care
Dr Sam Orton

Also, what if signage has additional information, and doctor's name is not exactly beneath first two lines, for example:

Bright Care
Dental Office
Specialized in implantology and oral surgery
Dr Sam Orton

In two alternative examples above, all parts of the name are in the signage, but not in the order of GBP name. And also not exactly one line after the other, but mixed with other information. Are those alternative signages good enough to pass video verification?

You would make the second GBP under the doctor’s name only. If you aren’t using a different primary, don’t create a secondary GBP. Only one will rank.

I recomend you update the business name to match the sign. Verify then you can change it after the verification is complete. I would make sure you are not pending or processing before any update.

He wants to set up a practitioner GBP and not the main GBP.

It is a solo-practitioner business, there are no other practitioners. I quess main GBP is one where doctor's name is also mentioned, like: Bright Care Dental Office: Dr Sam Orton.

Those are cases where doctor doesn't want to expand business and get more doctors in. He or she plans to work that way for the foreseeable future, and even have been already working as solo practitioner in his business for years or even decades already.

Is the best main GBP, then: Bright Care Dental Office: Dr Sam Orton?

And concerning the signage, should in such case sign read:

Bright Care
Dental Office
Dr Sam Orton

... to pass video verification?

To pass verification, the GBP needs to be Bright Care, which needs to be on the website and signage. Don't add the dentist's name.

Where I'm from, full name as I gave in the example is an official legal name of the business. It is a common format used for small businesses/solo practitioners, and is customary. So there are thousands of businesses with that type of name (type of business + brand name + owner's name, in any order).

Does the fact that "Bright Care Dental Office Sam Orton" is complete official legal name of the business, and as such is referenced accross many business listing sites, changes your recommendation or does regardless of lawful nature of the name, GBP must be named by shortening business name?

Is that the name Google will see on the signage when you verifiy the business?

Yes, because full legal name has to be on the signage, by the law.

There are some liberties on writing the sign, for example the order of main elements of the name can be different, but all elements of the name must be on the sign, by the law.

In this case, the signage would read:

Bright Care
Dental Office
Dr. Sam Orton
