Hello all,
Questions -- 1) does anyone have experience with Open Street Map and 2) do edits in OSM actually show up on navigation/ride share apps?
My employer expanded a hospital and added a new ER on a totally different street. We're having multiple issues due to the section of road in front of the new ER having been closed for construction for over a year and the old ER having been there for decades. In OSM, I've edited the road to show that it is open and made some other little enhancements. I've relocated the old ER pin to the new location and modified the name so that it matches our Google listing. I've also added another pin for the actual entrance location. Birdeye hasn't yet been able to get the new listing added into the dashboard to promote it, but we're working with them. Uber and Lyft are taking riders to the wrong location and there isn't a pick up POI at the new ER. So, to sum up, it's a lot of issues that I'm wondering if my efforts in OSM would help with.
Looking forward to hearing if anyone has feedback based on experience.
