Hi guys,

We recently had a GMB with address showing verified instantly. Like no post card, SMS, phone call or Video verification.

FYI

  • The business is home renovation.
  • The office is the down town, in a building with 100+ other offices
  • We operate out of a suite.
  • We offer in office consult and obviously work in peoples house (SAB)
  • We had 1 year old websites, strong NAP, and citation building,
  • We also use google workspace for our domain and emails and all google services. We don’t use gmail, as it get get locked very easily.

My question is, is this legit? Or google bots are tripping and might come back later with a verification request?
Please share you 2 cents

We've had that happen a few times, but mostly in the past. I think the last time that happened was probably 2+ years ago.

The only thing I could chalk it up to was that the website was established; it had directory links, and the addresses all matched. Then, we created the GBP via our MCC or Agency account. My guess is that the Agency Account gave us a little more credibility when we created the account on the user's behalf.

But stranger things have happened :) Take the win and move forward. If they come back for verification, you'll knock that out of the park too!

this ^^^^^^

Is exactly why i posted my thread. I had a chat with another expert too. this is hat i learned

1. It is not a lottery you won
2. It is an initial green light often misunderstood
3. It is actually the beginning of automated trust assessment
4. Instant verified profiles get suspended after a week, almost guaranteed
5. instant verification is a provisional step with GMP
6 Instant verification is granted when Google has some—but not complete—confidence in your business's existence.

Kinda dreading the suspension notice now.

OTOH, I had a profile verified with no signage, no website, no business registration, no verification, no nuffin'.

It's still there two years on.

thanks for the input. This tells me, maybe google is relying on their AI GMB approval, and hopefully dont comeback for a verifcation.

We've seen profiles get suspended for verification at any random interval - currently working with someone who has been online for 3 years, no issues, no changes, then out of the blue they're suspended. They resubmitted their info, etc.; auto-declined. Now they have a case open (which in 7 days we'll escalate, as there's been no response for a week so far)

On the flip side, we had someone get randomly suspended; they submitted their walkthrough video, and they were back online later that day. It's completely random in that regard too.

I'd not be afraid of suspensions. It does take a little time to get back in the listing, but usually they go through. The lost business for the week or two while getting re-approved definitely sucks though.
