Hello - Wanted to get opinions on this business that is currently showing up second in Google Maps for the keyword search "Roofer Chicago" (which is obviously a pretty profitable spot!). If you look at the link below they are using and showing a clearly residential address. If I am reading Google's Guidelines for SABs correctly this is against guidelines correct? And as a sad side note they have an unsecured 1 page website that looks like it was built in 1995 and 1 Google review. A great example of Google Maps providing the best results for users.

Hey Adam, if an SAB is using a residential address, that is totally fine. But, Google wants them to hide the address. If the listing is verified, Google typically won't take any action if you report it to them. This particular listing doesn't appear to be verified though. If that is the case, it shouldn't be mapped according to the Google Maps rules, which it would fall under if it isn't verified.

Probably either a soft suspended spam listing or a listing autogenerated by google from local search ecosystem data
