We are working with a dentist who is located in Flowery Branch, GA but their location in Google search and maps is shown in Braselton, GA. Their local rankings in Flowery Branch are also too bad. They have one GMB listing for their clinic (we are not optimizing or working on that per client's instructions) and the other one for the dentist's practice (with enormous good reviews and optimized). Their citations are also created by the name of the clinic, some are created by the name of the practitioner. What could be the reason for their poor rankings and what can be done to improve their rankings in Flowery Branch?

Hey Matt,

If their Knowledge Panel says "Braselton" that means they are physically located there and it will have a negative impact on the way they rank for keywords including "Flowery Branch". The good news is that implicit keywords, which often get searched more, should still rank the business just fine. See this case study for more context: When You Rank High Organically But Not Locally (Case Study)
