Many professionals (such as Mike Blumenthal) have suggested holding off on making GBP edits for the time being due to the high rate of suspensions and a huge backlog of suspension appeals. Just curious what others in this forum think? Do you also suggest holding off on any GBP edits out of risk of suspension? Not necessarily big things like changing the business name or address, but things like adding tracking number to primary, adding/changing categories, services, hours of operation, description, attributes, etc.

Thanks!

I am holding off on major edits for the time being (address, phone number, website etc.). I have made recent edits to "safer" sections, like descriptions, services, users, with no issues - but if I can avoid making an edit I am for now 😅

We are getting about 5 suspensions a day for legit businesses and we are following the guidelines and ensuring all the information added about the business is accurate and not misleading in anyway. I do not understand why it happens when there literally is no sign of a violation. And when I appeal them, even with a document to show the business name and address, most are denied.

Does anyone have enough experience to identify the cause by looking at the different fields? Or do you think this is a bug that is causing valid businesses to be suspended?
