Sitemap.xml - Does Google add any new welinks that are posted here

I've submitted a SEO weblink to my /sitemap.xml about 2-3 days ago and waiting for googlebot to make a visit.

When Googlebot sees the new page, will it to it automatically submit to Google for you OR do you have to manually submit them.

Basically, I am doing an experiment to see but love any feedback on this.

Hi Ana,

Google will find things on their own, especially if Google Search Console has an up-to-date sitemap. If not, as long as the new page is being linked to from somewhere relevant, it'll get crawled eventually. It all gets crawled eventually.
